As 2014 rapidly comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect on this year and what’s to come. I love this time of year. I use the little bit of downtime to set goals for everything from business and personal aspirations to fun plans like travel in the year ahead.
Though I always take time to set goals at the end of the year, I was inspired to write this post by one of my favorite registered dietitian nutritionist buddies, Carlene Thomas of Healthfully Ever After. (Visit her site for a complete guide to wedding wellness and tons of healthy recipes and stunning food photography.)
The In and Out list is simple and straightforward. It’s a clear declaration of what to leave behind and what to take into the new year. It’s kind of like my own personal trend outlook.
I’m excited to see where my business will go next year. I have some big ideas. Among other things, I want to offer quick videos to help you in the kitchen and beyond.
To get everything done, I have to stay productive. To this… I think I have the answer: closing all of those open tabs in Chrome. I love Chrome. I really do. But Chrome is an enabler. It encourages my web browsing ADD. It won’t be easy but I’m leaving the multitude of windows with multiple open tabs in 2014!
OK. Here’s my list of what’s in and what’s out for 2015:
- Spending more time with family and friends – in real life
- Short food and nutrition videos on the blog
- More nutrition related posts on the blog
- Consistency in meditation
- Reading books offline
- Open tab syndrome
- Overanalyzing stuff
- Using the word “so” too often
So. I want to know. What’s on your In and Out list?
