I’m sharing something a little different today. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Stitch Fix personal styling service so I’m sharing a review of the service.

Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service. A real person chooses styles that you might like and Stitch Fix delivers the clothes (also shoes and accessories) right to your door.

I struggle with what to wear and how to wear it. I don’t enjoy going to the mall or trying on clothes. I tend to stick to the brands and sizes I know work and order online. This can sometimes lead to a little monotony. I’ve wanted to try StitchFix for a while so when the opportunity to try it came around via the recipe redux (of all places!), I couldn’t resist.

I enjoyed taking the online style questionnaire. Designed to inform your stylist, it provides insight into your personal style. They ask basic questions about height and weight, what features you like to show off and also provide style collections for you to rate. It’s kinda fun to go through.

I loved the packaging and personalized welcome note that came with my first fix.

In my note to the stylist, I let her know that I was specifically looking for styles that would look great in an upcoming photo shoot.

In my box, I got 2 blouses, a pair of wide leg black pants, a navy blue dress and animal print flats. Stitch Fix provides a little card sharing ideas on how to pair the pieces with items you might already have in your closet.

These the animal print shoes are cute, right?

The box included a pair of wide leg black pants (not pictured). Unfortunately, I was not able fit those. There was no zipper and a tiny waist band that wouldn’t have survived my hips to pull them up and on. The other items fit just fine. So kudos there.

I fell in love with the green top. The fabric is soft and comfortable and cool for the summer. The fit was nice and could be paired with slim pants or tucked into a skirt. Only thing is I already have 2 like it that I always get compliments on. So nice job Julie. You nailed that one!

As much as I wanted to keep it, I sent it back because.. well 3 green shirts is a bit much even for me.

The selection, styling and returns process couldn’t have been any easier. I was excited to see what would arrive and to try everything on in the comfort of my own home.

Verdict:  Though I returned the items from this Fix, I will definitely use Stitch Fix again. The convenience and fun of it all just can’t be beat.

Have you tried Stitch Fix before? I’d love to hear how it worked for you.

That color green is gorgeous (I think it was the same top that Serena got.) And love love those shoes - thanks for participating! Reply
