This spiralized apple salad is a fun and easy way to enjoy apples this fall and throughout the year.
Though you can find them all year long, apples are in season right now. They are delicious, sweet and importantly wallet friendly at this time of year. Plus you can find a large variety of them from Honeycrisp to a new one I tried, SweeTango.
I got a cool new attachment for my KitchenAid Stand mixer recently and I couldn’t wait to test it out in the kitchen. I made this Spiralized Apple Walnut Basil Salad as my first recipe with it. The spiralizer couldn’t be easier to use.
The recipe looks like a bowl of noodles but it’s not – in a good way (and I love noodles). This recipe is simply made of apples and a simple roasted walnut vinaigrette which balances the sweetness of the apples with a bit of savory flavor. It’s crunchy and refreshing and the perfect way to enjoy a fun winter salad with ease.

This is genius! What a beautiful, nutritious salad. I’ve only had the idea to combine spiralized apple with oatmeal so I am excited to find a different meal option using apples. Thanks for sharing the recipe, Marisa!
