Sugar Snap Peas at the Market

 

Today’s morsel is short and simple. I want you to try fresh sugar snap peas. Sugar snap peas are sweet, refreshing and an excellent source of vitamin C for beautiful skin.

Since they are a spring veggie, look for sugar snap peas at the farmer’s market right now or in the supermarket produce section. For the sweetest flavor, eat your peas as soon as possible after buying.

Here are 4 easy ways to enjoy sugar snap peas this spring.

  • Take sugar snap peas with you for snacking throughout the day (just as you would baby carrots).
  • Swap sugar snap peas for chips with your sandwich.
  • At home, add sugar snap peas to stir-fry with a little soy sauce and ginger.
  • Lightly steam or simply sauté sugar snap peas for a quick side dish (see today’s recipe).
