You haven’t heard from me in a minute because I took some time off to explore London, Barcelona and a few cities in Italy. I will be blogging about the amazing experience later. But… since summer is finally in full swing, today I want to share some tips for healthy summer snacking.

  • Freeze some grapes. At just 80 calories per cup, frozen grapes are a treat on a hot summer day. Wash, then freeze grapes on a cookie sheet until solid. Store in a freezer bag. Eat them one by one or add them to your favorite beverage.
  • Create tomato-basil bites. Using toothpicks, create little skewers of grape tomatoes, fresh basil & fresh mozzarella for a flavorful and filling snack.
  • Enjoy a bowl of cherries. 1 cup has just 100 calories and plenty of fiber – making it a perfect poolside snack. Keep the stems on so it’s easier to get around the pit!
