Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears (Bosc, Anjou, or Concorde)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • ¼ cup ¼ cup chopped toasted walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a half sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Slice pears in half. Scoop out the seeds. Cut a sliver off the bottom of each pear half so that they will lay flat. Place pears on the pan about 2 inches apart, main cut side up.
  • In a small bowl, stir the honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Spoon half the honey mixture over the pears evenly.
  • Roast about 25 minutes, until pears are easily pierced with a fork but not mushy. Sprinkle baked pears with the walnuts and reserved honey mixture before serving.
